Waiting, putting off, re-tweaking, adjusting, re-writing, re-shooting, etc, etc all amount to PROCRASTINATION.
In essence what you are doing is procrastinating due to the fear of not being accepted, liked or understood. It’s your procrastination which has you failing right now, not your material which you haven’t submitted yet!
Nothing From Nothing = NOTHING
When I was doing my first article, I had the idea, I made notes, I wrote a first draft. Time spent 1 day.
I read first draft didn’t like it and re-wrote the whole thing. Time spent half a day.
I re-read my notes and my second draft. They didn’t match up properly, some bits were missing or I had gone off the plot somewhere, so a third draft was created. Time spent another half a day.
This process carried on for a week. Yes a week for one article. By about the seventh draft I was sick and tried of the topic, and I was seriously considering giving up article marketing.
I pushed on and made the decision to submit the article. It wasn’t perfect, far from it. I read it back now and cringe. But within a day I got traffic from it. This may not seem like much now, but coming from getting no traffic to getting some from one article which I wasn’t going to upload was a massive deal for me. In-fact this virgin article is still bring me traffic to this day. The funny thing is when I read the final uploaded article it is practically word for word the same as my first draft of the article. Look how much time was wasted!
This had my mind made up. I no longer foolishly procrastinated about my articles, yes they have to be of a good quality but I know they will never be perfect. I bet after I have uploaded this and I read it back I’ll think of something else I coulda, shoulda written, this is always going to be the case.
Understand this, successful people are doers. They get out there and get it done. Then they do it again and again and again. They know the more they do it the better they will become.
